Description:An aerial view of the Priory in Trentham. This house was originally built as the Vicarage for Trentham parish in 1807. By 1910 a new smaller vicarage had been built and the house was purchased by Adolph Wenger, the Swiss-born owner of Wengers Ltd., Ceramic Colours & Chemicals of Etruria who renamed it The Priory. After Adolph Wenger's death in 1954 his widow Isabelle continued to live there but when she died in 1959 it was demolished to make way for a new housing estate, including Wenger Cresecent.
