Description:A bowls match in progress at the Bowling Green in Cheadle's Memorial Recreation Ground on Tean Road. The building behind the pavilion is Cheadle Park Mansion which was demolished in 1979. The Recreation Ground was created from part of the Mansion's grounds immediately after World War I.
