Description:Situated on High Street, Cheadle, the Unicorn Inn was one of a number of buildings demolished in 1961 to make way for a shopping development. The site is now occupied by Cheadle Library and shops. It had a large and ornate wrought iron sign characteristic of Cheadle’s public houses and inns. The sign above the doorway indicates that the licensee at the time was Jabez Noden who was also a farmer.
