Description:A postcard view looking south from the junction with Ashbourne Road and Main Road (B5032), towards two rows of cottages in Conygree Lane, Mayfield. These buildings have sometimes been known as the ‘old houses’ because they are among some of the oldest in Mayfield.

There is a pediment in the centre of the first row of cottages which has a plaque stating ‘Holme Bank 1872’. Further along there is a second row of cottages with a pediment and a plaque which states ‘Dove-side 1871’.
