Description:This postcard view was taken looking south-west from St. Peter’s Churchyard in Maer.

The Church of St. Peter is one of the oldest buildings in the village; the adjacent Churchyard is on steep ground accessed from steps and a sloping path which goes past an entrance to the former Vicarage and to a brick-walled garden.

This postcard has a franking mark advertising: ‘The British Empire Commonwealth Games, Wales 18 to 26 July 1958’. It was franked on 23 June 1958 in Stoke-on-Trent and sent to an address in Liverpool.
