Description:The village school stands on Newcastle Road and is know Sir John Offley (CofE) Primary School. It is a Grade II listed building and was built in 1875 and extended in 1887. There is a mid-20th century red brick extension at the rear. The village school owes its original endowment to the will of Sir John Offley of Madeley Manor, who died in 1658. This building was financed by Hungerford, Baron of Crewe .
