Description:Richardson & Son's stand at the Staffordshire County Show held in Uttoxeter on 27 and 28 August 1902. The stand shows off the company's range of carriages and carts.
The business was started by George Richardson, a wheelwright working in Bradley Street, when he opened coachbuilding premises at Park Street in the 1840s. The company built a variety of horse drawn vehicles. By 1907 the business began to repair motor vehicles and sell bicycles and by the 1950s was doing very little wheelwrighting or coachbuilding. George's great-grandson sold the business, by then a motor garage, in 1962.
