On the right can be glimpsed the timber-framed Crown and Anchor. On the immediate left is the Granville Temperance and Commercial Hotel, since demolished. The Poste of Stone pub, formerly the post office, now stands on this site. The County Show was held in Stone on 18th and 19th July 1906.
