Description:This early postcard view shows a pony and cart being driven through a ford near Hoar Cross, believed to be on Dolefoot Lane at one of the entrance paths to Jackson's Bank. The wooden pedestrian bridge crossing the brook on the right has since been replaced.
This unused postcard precedes the 1902 introduction of the split-back which allowed the address and a message on the reverse. At the time this card was produced, only the address was allowed on the reverse. Messages would usually have been written around the border of the photograph.
