Description:A postcard view of Spot Acre House which was the home of members of the Hill Family. John and Elijah Hill were living here in 1880.

In about 1849, John and Elijah Hill purchased land at Spot Acre, near Fulford in order to set up their nursery business there. John Hill and Sons Nursery eventually occupied about 800 acres around Spot Acre and Moddershall, before closing in 1990.
