Description:Pictured at the opening night of Stafford’s first Indian Restaurant, the Curry Kuteer on Greengate Street, are Alderman Miss Iris Moseley, Alderman Oliver Bradley (Mayor and Mayoress of Stafford) and Shah Quayam, who was joint owner of the restaurant with Siddequer Rahman.

Formerly the Bridge Cafe, the Curry Kuteer opened in November 1968. The restaurant is now (2022) occupied by the Bengali Lounge.
