Description:Roughly midway in-between Hednesford (to the left) and Rugeley, Moors Gorse is the site of a water pumping station that, at the time of this photograph, was steam driven. Its front wall adjacent to the A460 can just be seen on the left of the photograph.

To the right Brindley Heath Railway Station. Originally this was a halt provided in 1939 to service R.A.F. Hednesford. The railway station was closed in 1959. This area is now (2022) a popular area for off-road cycling on Cannock Chase.
