Description:This postcard view shows Elm Terrace, mostly covered with ivy or Virginia creeper, at Walton, Stone. Built in the second half of the 19th century, the terrace still stands (2022), with some alterations, on Stafford Road, close to the A520 and the adjacent road traffic island on the A34. The road sign on the left points towards Eccleshall, Stoke and Newcastle.

On the reverse there is a message to Florrie, “Very best love and good wishes for your Birthday and hope you have a Happy one” from Aunty Nellie. The postcard was franked in Stone on 23 October 1914 and sent to an address in Wrexham, North Wales.
