Description:A view of Hednesford's War Memorial on the Rugeley Road soon after it was unveiled in 1922. Behind the fence on the left was the site of Hednesford's pool which dried up in the 1880s when its feeder brook was diverted by the owners of the Valley Pit to prevent flooding. It is now (2022) the site of Hednesford Park which opened in 1931.

This postcard was published by J Cope, Market Street, Hednesford and was not posted until 1944
