Description:A view taken from King's Avenue looking towards Longton Road over the railway bridge. On the right is St. John's Church, formerly the Congregational Church, built in 1871 to a design by George Bidlake at the corner of Longton Road and Granville Terrace. On 7 March 1886 the interior was destroyed by fire. The church was rebuilt and was later St. John's Methodist Reformed Church. The church closed in 2012, with the final service taking place on 26th August. During 2019-20 it was converted into flats.

On the left is the Bridge Inn on Oulton Road which became Langtry's in the early 1980s, before returning to be the Bridge again around 2018.
