Description:Marston's Shoe shop is on the junction of Green Heath Road (known locallly as West Hill), left, and Station Road, straight ahead. Market Street is to the right via the bridge over the railway. The photographer would have been standing in Cannock Road.

Joseph Marston was a native of Willenhall but was a boot manufacturer in Hednesford by the mid 1880s. He also had a shop premises in Church Street, Cannock around 1900. He died in 1940 when he was living at West Hill. His son Frank ran this business at this time.

The postcard was published by J. Cope, Market Street, Hednesford.
