Description:This view shows the demolition of the former school buildings on a site which became known as the Kingston Centre in Stafford. Following the closure of the school in the 1980s, the buildings had over the years several changes of use, including being utilised in 2021-2022 as a COVID vaccination venue.

The school opened in 1939 as Dartmouth Street Senior Boys School. In 1944 it became a Secondary Modern School for Boys, and was renamed Kingston Secondary Modern School in 1956. A further name change took place in October 1979 when it became Kingston Middle School. It was later home to Staffordshire County Council Education Department offices.
