Description:A view of Hammerwich Cricket Club's ground on Burntwood Road, looking towards the pavilion. The present club was founded in 1949 and moved to the present ground in 1978. There had been a thriving cricket club in the village before the Second World War. An early record of cricket match in the village was played in 1871 between a Hammerwich club and Lichfield (St. Mary's) club.
