Description:Children standing on 'Shakey Bridges' which carries a public footpath over the River Sow between Creswell and Seighford. There is still a footbridge here and nowadays the M6 crosses close to this site.

At the time this photograph was taken there was a sluice which diverted water from the River Sow into the Darling, perhaps to help create a boating lake for the inhabitants of Creswell Hall. The sluice was removed and the bridge replaced with a metal version around the mid 1950s.
