Description:This memorial, in the form of a 'Ledger stone' above the tomb of James, Lord Aston, can be found in the floor of the north transept at St Mary's, Stafford.

Below the worn family crest, the inscription reads:
‘Here lieth the Body of the Right Honorable James Lord Aston of Tixall, Baron of Forfar, who died August 20th 1731 Aged 28’.
