Description:A postcard view of Yarlet Hall which replaced an earlier 18th century building, work on a new house was begun around 1870 by George Sidney. In 1873 The Reverend Walter Earle founded a private preparatory school at Yarlet Hall which remains open today. On the extreme right there is a glimpse of the School Chapel.

This postcard view was published by P. A. Buchanan & Co, Ltd. Thornton Heath, Surrey. It was franked in Yarlet on 30 July 1931 and posted to an address in Bedford.
