Description:Thomas Smith pictured with a gun, rabbit and spaniel at the rear of Whiston Eaves.

Whiston Eaves farmhouse was built in the early 17th century and remodelled in the early 19th century. In the latter part of the 19th century it was the home of the Smith family. Thomas Smith, who died in 1947, was the last member of the family to live at Whiston Eaves. By the 1980s the house was derelict and it was demolished in 1998 to make room for the expansion of Moneystone Quarry.
