Description:Mixed media painting by Arthur Berry (1925-1994). Born Smallthorne, Stoke-on-Trent, Arthur Berry was an artist, poet and playwright. Educated at Biddulph Council School, Burslem College of Art and the Royal College of Art, he was a teacher at Manchester College of Art, Burslem College of Art and Chelsea College of Art. At the time of his retirement in 1985 he was a lecturer in painting at North Staffordshire Polytechnic.
