Date:July 1902

Description:On Sunday 29th June 1902 the farmhouse belonging to the Earl of Lichfield and occupied by Mr W. Moore was struck by lightning during a violent thunderstorm. The fire engine from nearby Ingestre Hall attended, but could not be used due to the lack of a water supply. The house was completely destroyed by fire apart from the chimney stack, but most of the contents were saved.
