Description:Waterfall Church was built originally during the 12th century and has a surviving Norman chancel arch. The west tower and nave dates from 1792. The chancel was rebuilt in 1890 using existing stone.

The gateways to the churchyard are Grade II listed. The stone gate piers were originally chimneys at Ilam Hall and are now filled with concrete, the remainder of the stone being brought from Wootton Hall when it was demolished in the 1930s. The wrought iron gates came from a park in Derby.
