Description:A Pageant scene depicting the murder of the Princes Wulfad and Rufin by Wulfere, King of Mercia. According to legend, Stone owes its origin to the murder of the two Saxon Princes, Rufin and Wulfad by their father Wulfere.
Eccleshall Pageant was organised to raise funds for the rebuilding of the school, and to portray the history of the town. The pageant took place over four days (3 - 6 August) in the grounds of Johnson Hall.
