Description:This view looks south west from Victoria Square towards Victoria Road in Stafford.

On the extreme left in the distance the Station Hotel can be seen. The shop and houses in the centre are on Cherry Street which was demolished in the late 1930s to make way for the main Stafford College building, built just before World War II. On the right is the former County Education Offices. This later became the Hogshead Pub and Restaurant, which closed and re-opened as Chambers Pub and Restaurant, this also closed and opened as the Judge and Jury public house. Part of the building on Earl Street stood empty for several years and later became residential accommodation with notices advertising 'Rooms to Let' on part of the building.

The area to the left was originally occupied by the Talbot and Smithfield hotel and Stafford cattle market. It then became a car park before the Crown Courts were built on the site.
