Description:A postcard view of tulip beds and box hedges at Walsall Arboretum. The Arboretum was opened on 4 May 1874 by Lady Hatherton. It covers 170 acres and includes Hatherton Lake, gardens, lawns, play areas, a bowls green and tennis courts. Between 1951 and 2008 the Arboretum hosted the Walsall Illuminations for six weeks each autumn.
