Description:A Christmas card sent by Lotus Ltd., boot and shoe manufacturers, to its employees, Christmas 1961. The photograph shows James Bostock being presented with his 40 years' service medal by Godfrey Bostock, with Gilbert Bostock in the centre, at Lotus Ltd.'s Stafford factory, January 1961. At the time of this photograph James Forrester Bostock (1902-1996) was Chairman and Managing Director. His younger brothers, Godfrey Stafford Bostock (1915-2008) and Gilbert Handley Bostock (1906-1999) were Directors. Behind them, on the wall, is a portrait of the company's founder, Thomas Bostock (1777-1865).
