Description:Henk Hommers Jr, Henk Hommers Snr and Sjoerd Hommers pictured at H.S. Hommers and Sons Dutch Bulbs, with crates full of tulip bulbs.

Henk Snr's father Hendrick Hommers started growing bulbs in Beverwijk, Holland, in the early 1900s. During World War II Henk Snr was stationed with the Dutch Army at Wrottesley Park and after the war he settled in Codsall and set up a small nursery at the back of his house. The business expanded and moved to new, larger premises at Oaken Drive Codsall in the 1950s as a wholesale supplier of bulbs and garden sundries. Today (2021) the family run business is still at the same location, and has expanded into a wholesale supplier of bulbs, plants, shrubs, Christmas trees and garden sundries.
