Description:This formal group portrait shows wedding party at the Fox and George, Penkridge after the marriage of Julia Oakley to John Foden. The man seated towards the right hand side of the front row is Edwin "Teddy" Oakley, father of the bride, with his granddaughter Eunice (daughter of Julia's sister Frances Maud Tonks, née Oakley). Eunice was born in 1924 and died in Penkridge in summer 2021, aged 97.

The Fox and George pub was demolished in the 1930s when the A449 was widened, rebuilt further back from the road, and later became an Indian restaurant. Today (2021) the building is a Sainsbury Local supermarket.
