Description:This photograph was taken outside Wyre Hall Cottage, Cannock Road, Penkridge, the family home of the Oakley family since the late 19th century. Edwin "Teddy" Oakley was the Penkridge postman and a well-known local character. His eldest daughter, Kate (1880-1947) married Alfred Ernest Haywood (later Stafford's Chief Fire Officer) in 1903.
