Description:This photograph shows Stafford Fire Brigade with the motor fire engine named 'Catherine', possibly Stafford's first, manufactured by Leyland. Alfred Ernest Haywood, later Chief Officer, is at the wheel. His younger brother Thomas Edwin is the second fireman from the left standing on the engine, and Corporal J. Thorpe is the third fireman from the left standing on the ground.
