Date:1841 - 1842 (c.)

Description:Watercolour by John Whessell St. Giles' Church can be seen here as it existed between 1721 and 1876. The pictured church was that completed in the Georgian style by William Smith.
The church was later rebuilt, in 1876, in the Gothic revival style by Sir George Gilbert Scott, and this is the church that remains today.
