Description:Built in 1956 as a replacement for the 1909 tin-built Village Institute in Park Lane and demolished in 1999. Captain Charles Fletcher-Twemlow, of Betley Court, had donated land in 1952 and the villagers raised almost £4,000 for its construction. Opened on 26th January 1957, it was later extended to include a stage.
