Description:Joan Blakemore of Aldridge, aged 17, being awarded winner of the 'Miss Rally Queen 1957' competition at a dance in the Assembly Rooms in Stafford held in the evening after the annual rally of the Staffordshire Federation of Young Farmers which had taken place at Rodbaston Farm Institute. With her are the judges, Mr G. Precious (County Agricultural Advisory Officer) and Mr H.E. Wells (Principal of Rodbaston Farm Institute). There were 30 competitors and the winner was chosen to compete in the national 'Dairy Queen' competition.
