Mr Whitely and Miss Margaret Yorke (Social Secretary) arranged the dinner. During the evening there was dancing interspersed with several items from the members. Mr John Goldsmith and Mr Frank Lloyd gave a lively monologue in the Western Brothers style. Mr Lloyd and Mr Price gave a reading of the ghost scene from “Hamlet” and Mr Lloyd and Miss Barbara Briggs read a scene between Hamlet and Ophelia. George Strachan gave a light hearted one act play, changing clothes for different characters, while his wife, Vi Weaver, filled in with piano accompaniments.
