Description:Pictured on the steps of the Shire Hall are newly elected County Councillors following local elections in April 1952. On the left Alderman J.F. Amery (Conservative) is shaking hands with Mr J.H. Southall, his unsuccessful Labiour opponent. On the right Alderman Mrs R. Turney (Labour) is being greeted by Mr A.E. Collins (Conservative).
