Description:The Uttoxeter Advertiser offices and print works in a courtyard behind 33, Market Place down an alley by the side of 31, Market Street, Uttoxeter. The buildings were converted into two mews style houses or flats and named Newspaper House.

Established in 1882 by William Ryder, the Uttoxeter Advertiser was ironically known locally as the 'Stunner'. On Ryder's death in 1891 it was taken over by John Eaton Fearn. In June 1896 he changed the title to the Uttoxeter Advertiser and Ashbourne Times. In 1907 the newspaper was purchased by the Babb brothers, Warwick and Sydney, originally from Barnstaple and it remained in the family until 1994 when the Uttoxeter Advertiser was taken over by the Burton Mail Group. Publication ceased in 2018.
