Description:Milford Hall Cricket Club departing Stafford for the Netherlands. Mr. E. W. Clarke, Fixture Secretary, is loading his cricket bag into the coach in which the club party travelled during their Dutch tour. This was the club's second ten-day cricket tour and holiday in Holland. In 1955 the club won four and drew one of their flve matches. In 1956 an exchange visit to England was made by the Quick Cricket Club from Holland's capital city, the Hague. During the 1957 tour Milford Hall played two matches against Quick C.C. at the Hague, and matches in Rotterdam. Amsterdam and Schiedam. About half of the party were playing members and included several players from other clubs, who were invited to go on the tour to strengthen the side. Arrangements for the tour were made by E.W. Clarke, and the idea came from Mr. Clarke' wife, who was Dutch by birth.

The party crossed the Channel from Dover to Ostend. Throughout the tour the party travelled by coach and accommodation was in hotels or the homes of Dutch cricketers.
