Date:1940

Description:This scene is very different now with the Grosvenor roundabout in the centre of the road. The area on the right hand side has been completely demolished with the arrival of the ring road. Notice the poster for Bush Radio on the side of the building. This obviously dates from the time of World War Two as it has a depiction of Hitler holding the world and reads, 'Hitler desires the world but you can have it with a Bush Radio'.
