Description:A postcard view of members of the Christ Church or St. Aidan's Branch of the Anglican Young People's Association, posing for the camera along with an AYPA shield at Christ Church, Stafford. Christ Church opened on Foregate Street in 1839. Its mission church, St. Aidan's, was consecrated in 1902 on Marston Road. Please contact us if you recognise anyone in the picture.

This postcard was photographed by Bertram Sinkinson who was a celebrated Stafford photographer, who took over the premises of C.E. Fowke at 15 Victoria Road, Stafford in 1936-7. Sinkinson was later president of the Royal Photographic Society, 1953-1955. He was awarded an OBE in 1957 and was Mayor of Stafford in 1959 and died in 1985.
