Description:A view of the Royal Oak at Boscobel House, Shropshire. The current tree is a descendent of the original Royal Oak at Boscobel House, where Charles II hid from Parliamentary troops in 1651. Today, beside it is a replacement grown from an acorn of the oak, which was planted by the Prince of Wales in 2001, on the 350th anniversary of Charles’s visit.
