Description:Burley Pit was part of Apedale colliery and was open between about 1850 and 1926. This photograph was taken by Thomas Warham, a local photographer, who took many photographs of Audley and its surrounding area.

Showing headsticks and engine house of the Pit. loading areas, ralway lines and wagons, which were painted with various colours and lettering of companies.
