Description:A view of Penn Common with a track and stream. A woman is leaning over the bridge.

Penn Common is a large area of open land that is bounded by the A449 Wolverhampton to Stourbridge Road in the west, Wodehouse and Gospel End Road to the south, the town of Sedgley to the east and Upper Penn to the north. The common was a poorly drained area, part of which was occupied by a number of small farms that were situated on the better agricultural land.
