Description:Mr W. Busby standing in front of the porch of his house at Littywood Farm, Bradley holding a garden fork and a double-barrelled shotgun.

William Whiston Busby was born at his father's farm, Billington Farm, Bradley, near Stafford, on 5 September 1895. He began his farming career at his father's farm before moving to Woodside Farm, Ranton. He married Minnie Rutter (1895-1953) at St. Mary's Church, Castle Church in 1918. After World War I he farmed cattle at Haughton House Farm and Alstone Farm, Bradley but by 1932 he, his wife and his son William J. were running a dairy farm at Littywood. He retired around 1940 and let the farm to Mr J.W. Lea for a few years, until he sold the stock and farm in 1946. He died in 1975.
