Description:Display of agricultural machinery at Messrs F. Burgess Ltd.'s stand at the 1939 Staffordshire Show, held at Beacon Park, Lichfield. A wide range of equipment can be seen, including tedders, reaper-binders, elevators and Allis-Chalmers tractors.

Staffordshire Agricultural Society's annual County Show was first held at Stone in 1844. This was the last time the show was hosted by Lichfield and was the last held before the outbreak of war later that year. Since 1958 the County Show has been held at the purpose-built County Show Ground at Hopton, on the outskirts of Stafford.
