Description:Women's Land Army girls bagging potatoes from a clamp at W.W. and W.J. Ryman's farm, Manor Farm, Wall, near Lichfield. Allthough World War II ended in 1945, there was still a shortage of labour in agriculture and the Women's Land Army was not disbanded until 21st October 1949. This photograph was one of a number commissioned from Gerald McCann by Women's Land Army Recruiting Services in 1947.
