Description:This postcard view looks north along Sandy Lane towards Rugeley town centre. In the distance on the centre left is St Augustine’s Church tower and in the centre distance the Town Hall clock tower is visible over the houses. This scene changed around 1920 to 1930 when a row of Council houses were built on the left which still remain (November 2020).

On the reverse of this postcard there is a message to the recipient “with best wishes for your Birthday, Many Happy Returns”. The postcard was franked on 6 January 1908 in Rugeley and it was sent to an address in Brighton.
