Description:This postcard view shows an unidentified parade positioned by the Post Office (left) and the Crown Hotel (later known as the Crown Inn) on Crown Bank in Abbots Bromley.
The parade is thought to be connected with the nearby School of St. Mary & St. Anne. In this scene there are flags and banners of various countries including Canada, New Zealand (Kia banner), the UK and a banner for Wales, along with someone dressed as a Headmistress and others in different types of national dress.
The School of St. Mary and St. Anne was formed on the amalgamation of two girls schools in 1921, occupying Big House on the north side of High Street in Abbots Bromley. The Big House became known as St. Anne's House. In later years the school was known as Abbots Bromley School which closed in the summer of 2019.
